About prelude studies
Prelude studies prepares us for Primer 2 as a precedence activity and study.
This activity facilitates our ability to read and understand images and extract the essence of the image.
We are required to choose a war hero from the Second World War in Singapore from these choices:
Hu Guan Ren, Choo Kim Seng, Elisabeth Choi, Wong Aii Wen
From these war heroes, we analysed on their recount of the Second World War and extracted key moments of their recount and their 3 main emotions during these moments.
These emotions were then used to direct our research on the 21 images that we are supposed to do (7 images per emotions).

About My Hero

Choo Kim Seng
I decided to take the whole journey of Choo Kim Seng - before, during and after the war, to extract the three emotions. This is because the whole process of the journey he had was very influential on him.
My three chosen emotions are Agitation, Devastation and Nostalgia.
These emotions are arranged in the sequence of Before-During-After war and the emotions form a V-shaped graph as an emotional journey.
