Site Analysis on Keppel Harbour | Year 2 | 18th April - 16th May 2016 |
Starting the year-long project off with the analysis on the site of the given master plan: Keppel Harbour. Assigned to focus on the Genius Loci of the place and its surroundings that will impact on the designing of our residential project, extensive research was undertaken during this assignment.
Precedent Studies

Precedent Studies for Housing of the Future revolved around an International and Local social housing project. Partially linked to Site Analysis, the team was tasked on the extracting the unique qualities of the project and understanding the practices of projects to the scale of Housing of the Future.
Individual Design Response

Individual Design Response required individuals to produce a series of conceptual and sequential process models for their own project whilst conducting group Site Analysis and Precedent Studies. The findings of the Site Analysis and Precedent Studies were to influence the design concept and strategies of the indivudual's work.
Active Sustainable Systems - Research

This case study was to source a sustainable active system that is able to be integrated in Architectural design schemes. Being tasked 2 out of the 3 research categories, the deliverables were to produce 2 A0 posters of the research.
Schematic Design Review
SDR - Schematic Design review| Year 2 | 27th July - 15th August 2016 |
Concentrating on the design intent, strategies and scheme, Schematic Design Review wraps up the entire first semester of Year 2. The focal point of the SDR is the response to site and also aesthetically integrate Design and Structure.
Structural Framing 2.0

The task was to draw the structural framing plans of our project in 2D and in 3D with proper drawing conventions and annotations in Revit. With the changes from SDR as well as additional drawing and modelling requirements, the structure of the scheme is finalised at this stage.
Building Plan Submissions
BP Submissions| Year 2 | 20th October - 11th November 2016 |
Designing buildings will require the design to abide by the regulations the authorities have set up in the place of intervention. This submission is to ensure the design scheme of our project complies by the regulations of authorities in Singapore.
Detail Design Review
DDR| Year 2 | 11th November - 5th December 2016 |
Detail Design Review goes into the micro aspect of the design scheme; choosing 2 Unit typologies to detail as well as the communal space in the scheme to detail. The articulation of the facade is also considered and detailed at this stage.
Final Design Review
FDR| Year 2 | 2nd January - 2nd Feb 2017 |
Final Design Review takes the whole year's worth of progressive works into a 15 minute presentation and 15minute Q&A. FDR takes is when the project is roughly entirely resolved and shared from site analysis to concept to detailing.
