Unlocking the Fibonacci Cryptex | Year 1 | 21st April - 20th May 2015 |

First project of Architecture academia life.

It is a very abstract project on a structure - consisting of lines, planes and volumes, and does not have a function.

We needed to encode a design driver found in a 21 by 21 centimetre art piece into a cryptex in the form of a model.

Prelude Studies 01

[AFTERMATH] | Year 1 | 25th May - 05th June 2015 |

Post Primer 1 mini project in preparation for Primer 2 in the next term.

This project requires us to research on the chosen war hero from the Second World War that happened in Singapore.

This project enables us to read and understand the essence of images.

Primer 2

Scars in the Ground | Year 1 | 13th July - 20th August 2015 |

Primer 2 focuses on a structure as an addition to the Changi Chapel Museum.

The structure must be of 3 zones, with each one attempting to express an emotion.

These emotions are gotten from the war hero studied in Prelude Studies 01.

Alter_Ego Installation | Year 1 | 21st August - 3rd September 2015 |

Post Primer 2 mini project in preparation of Project 1 next Semester.

This project requires us to install an installation that is site-responsive to W5A common area level 1.

Choosing and researching on an artist, we were supposed to install an installation inspired and related to the artist's works.

Case Study 01

[ The Tale Of ] Two Houses | Year 1 | 5th September - 27th October 2015 |

A grouped holiday assignment to investigate the architecture of two houses, one of an international context, one of a local context.

The assignment enforced the understanding of site and cultural context, with the discovery of  different perspectives of "what is a home?" in preparation for Project One.

Project One

DWELLING [ PLACE ] | Year 1 | 19th October 2015 - 19th February 2016 |

Taking the artist chosen in Prelude Studies 02, the art forms were to be translated into Architecture as means to drive the architecture conceptually.

The structure is to be a Dwelling for a made up single artist as a client in a site at Langsat Road.
